The Story
The Coastal Source CRS4K Component Rack System Amplifier serves as a high performance backbone for demanding audio visual solutions. As the successor to the CRS2800 model, this unit delivers a massive 4000W of total power, providing 1000W across each of its four channels. Housed in a 1U powder coated steel chassis, it fits perfectly into a standard rack mount setup without wasting valuable space. It is designed to drive substantial loads, supporting up to four 8 ohm speakers per channel and eight subwoofers total.
Connectivity is handled through a versatile array of balanced or unbalanced analog inputs and AES67 digital inputs. Because the amplifier is AES67 enabled, it is fully compatible with Dante digital architecture, allowing it to drop right into existing professional networks. On the output side, Phoenix style connectors provide a reliable interface for traditional bare wire, while optional adapters allow for easy connection to Coastal Source CC cables. One pair of input cable adapters is included to help start the process.
The system allows for both Direct Drive and 70v operation, making it a flexible choice for a large scale commercial AV installation or a multi zone home project. Full DSP control via the Armonia software suite enables accurate tuning of the 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response. This amplifier is strictly intended for indoor, climate-regulated environments to ensure long term stability. For any smart home integration that demands immense power and digital flexibility, the CRS4K provides a reliable foundation that is clear and consistent even amid heavy loads.
